COMO Parrot Cay
Turks and Caicos
A private island with one hotel on it, built low and pale against a mile of sand.
You arrive by boat. That single fact sets the tone of everything that follows, because once the boat leaves there is nothing else on Parrot Cay to walk to.
The architecture declines to compete. Low roofs, bleached timber, wide verandas, interiors stripped back to linen and light — restraint used as a design position rather than as a budget.
Wellness is structural here, not an add-on. The Shambhala spa and the programme around it shape how days are organised, alongside a short list of dining rooms and the beach itself.
It is a hotel for people who want their week decided in advance by geography. Reaching it takes planning; leaving it takes the same boat.
